Cameron Populous was enjoying being a toddler. He loved playing with all of his toys and crawling around his home. Bebe enjoyed seeing her youngest have fun, and hoped he would adjust to the fact that soon he wouldn’t be the youngest any longer…
Brad and Annalise both loved little Cameron, and Annalise in particular doted on him. They had a real connection. So far none of her children seemed to be affected by the unusual family set-up they were part of. Annalise spoke to her father from time to time. The boys hadn’t asked about theirs, and though she would tell them if they did, she didn’t see the need to complicate matters. Connor and Jared didn’t even know they were fathers to her children. Jared would possibly be angry, he hadn’t wanted a child – and though Connor would probably cope well with the news, she didn’t want to cause unnecessary friction between the Frio brothers. She figured she probably couldn’t hide the truth from them forever – both boys had inherited their fathers’ red hair, and she guessed that in time they would resemble them in appearance as well. But she would cross that bridge when she came to it.
Bebe’s pregnancy was going very well – her body seemed to be in peak condition and she was so excited about the new arrival. Being a mother was so fulfilling, and though it was hard work, now both Brad and Annalise were old enough to help her with some of the household chores, things were becoming much easier. She still found she was forever repairing broken equipment, though. Maybe one day she would be able to afford furniture and appliances that didn’t break so easily.
Both of her older children enjoyed school and were doing well at their lessons. Bebe really hoped that they would grow up to be happy adults, that they wouldn’t feel the strain of having so little money or having no constant father figure as they were growing up.
It wasn’t long before Bebe was in labour, and although she had given birth to both sons at home, Annalise insisted her mother have this child at hospital. Bebe smiled. Her daughter worried too much sometimes, but she was prepared to indulge her – after all, Annalise was such a help around the house. When she arrived, Xander was already there. Bebe’s best friend was anxious. He had been a little shocked when Bebe told him they were to have a baby and he wondered if they should get married. At the time, Bebe had said no, but since she had now proposed to Asa three times and been rejected three times she wondered if she should have taken Xander up on the offer after all…
They arrived home with baby Declan, but Bebe asked Xander if he would mind returning another time to see his son, as she really needed to sleep. As was usual, Bebe was spinnign Xander a yarn. Whilst she probably did need to rest, she had something more important to think about – and it was something she didn’t want Xander to know about.
Earlier that day, Bebe had received a phone call from work asking her if she would be willing to help participate in a new experiment. They had been working on the possibility that the dead could be raised and had asked all of the staff whether they had any loved ones they would be prepared to try and resurrect. Bebe’s fellow scientists, whilst very excited by this experiment, were somewhat queasy about allowing the remains of their own family to be those that were used in it. But Bebe had some remains that she had been holding onto for some time… the remains of her old friend Buster Clavell, Xander’s father.
Something went wrong in the resurrection attempt, though, and Buster was revived… but as a ghost. He was incredibly traumatised by his experience, so Bebe tried to reassure him, the way she knew best. Buster was a little put off by all the children coming in and out of the room, though, so Bebe took him somewhere to unwind…

Great chapter. 🙂 I applaud you for even getting this far into the challenge, since both my attempts failed miserably.
I hope the baby turns out to be a ghost. You’ll get your points and ghost babies are really cool. 😉

Ghost babies are indeed cool. I’ve never had a white one before though.
I am very, very strategic when it comes to challenge playing!

Yay! A ghost baby, maybe? I can’t believe Asa has turned Bebe down three times!

I know. That issue will be addressed soon. Annoying young man.

That woman won’t even let death ruin her plans.
Now that’s dedication.

Oh yes. When he died, my first thought was ‘Yes! Ghost Points!’

Hi Rad,
Bebe really likes to “keep it in the family”, doesn’t she? First the Frio’s, now the Clavell’s… lots of material in the Bunch family! 🙂
This is so much fun.

The Bunches are tricky… there’s always a bunch (ho ho) of them at home so she can’t use Jack to be the sim who is a husband. In fact all the husbands seem to never be home alone…

Guess the wives ar worried and with good reason.
Nasty Asa turning her down so many times. He deserves to be killed in some slow and tortuous way.
I hope the baby is a ghost.

Grrrr. I was contemplating that if he turned her down again. You’ll have to see if that happens.
Yes, the wives do seem a little overprotective. Boo!

I wonder if this one will be a girl? Great chapter, you play the challenge so well!

I am not using apples or watermelons. That’s all I’m going to say on baby gender.

I’m getting behind and I can’t stand it because I love this! Bebe spinning Xander a yarn while she goes for the next baby! Fabulous stuff!!

Poor Xander. The baby daddies don’t get much of a look-in once they’ve served their purpose, I’m afraid, though she still chats to most of them on the phone.

I can’t believe I haven’t read this before, read all your other challenges. Really enjoying it, haven’t read a WYDC before, only the male version. I like the alphabet names, too.
Hey, if Asa keeps turning Bebe down, she could always kill him and get a different-coloured ghost baby!

Did you read her failed attempt? This one I was very determined to get right!
